There was a time when management was thought to be something innate: there were those naturally suited to be officers. Fortunately we've gotten over that idea and realized that management is something that can and should be taught. There are two entirely different types of things that should be part of your education in magement, often referred to as the hard and the soft skills. The hard ones (as in concrete rather than difficult) are things like planning, preparing and monitoring the accounts, checking on the success or failure of operations. The soft ones are all about managing people: they are, in fact, the hard ones to acquire. Online management courses will teach both to you. The first set in the way that many other things are taught. The second set usually by means of case studies and role playing. There's no better way of learning these things than being put into the situations yourself and then having to decide what to do.
