Interesting and Exciting Job Opportunities: Get Mediation Training
When emotion is involved, disagreements can easily get out of hand and an arbitrary third party may be needed to help resolve issues. That third party is called a mediator. If you are good at problem resolution and helping individuals get through highly charged or emotional troubles, then mediation training is the route you may want to take to work in such fields as family therapy, divorce mediation, therapy, counselor, social worker, or psychologist.

If you work in divorce mediation, you will help couples to define issues, generate options to conflict resolution, the development of child support, alimony, and parenting plans, and generate options to help couples work through issues. Courses in this field of study generally involved learning about the effects of divorce on adults and children, property distributions and asset valuation, and the psychological stages of divorce.

If you work in housing eviction cases, you will help tenants and property owners resolve disputes. Courses in this field will typically involve the study of homelessness, tenant and landlord relationships, landlord and tenant law, rights, and responsibilities.

A labor relations and union negotiator, advises management and drives collective bargaining negotiations. Study typically involves employee grievances, wage and salary, contract negotiations, trends and labor standards, and resolving work disputes.

Dispatching incorrect advice can have detrimental results on all parties concerned, so no matter what field you enter, it is imperative to get the mediation training necessary to help guide negotiations.
